Caroline Saliman has taught at Har HaShem for twenty years and is the recipient of the Chidush Educator's Award. She also tutors b'nai mitzvah students and is a master storyteller. Along with Leah, Caroline co-founded KHHS in 2005 and has co-directed camp for the past eight years.

After graduating from CU, Caroline lived in Israel on kibbutz before returning to Colorado to obtain her teaching certification. Caroline also loves teaching at the Boulder Jewish Community Center Preschool and for BJCC Shalom Baby/Shalom Family programs.

Having the opportunity to direct and be part of camp is the perfect combination of Caroline's skills and passions, and getting to do it all with Leah is the best!

Leah Boonin's first job was as a Jewish day camp counselor, and since then, she has amassed 22 years of experience in Jewish camping and education. In 2010, Leah was awarded the Grinspoon Steinhart Award for Excellence in Jewish Education, she is a recipient of the Chidush Educator's Award, and she has taught and led services at Har HaShem for 15 years. Along with Caroline, Leah co-founded KHHS and has co-directed camp for the past seven years.

Leah has led summer programs in Israel, Minnesota, and for the Boulder Valley School District. She is early childhood director-qualified and teaches at the Boulder Jewish Community Center Preschool. Her education includes a BA from Brandeis University and a masters degree from CU.

Co-directing camp is an ideal match for Leah's professional strengths and personal joys, made even better by getting to co-direct with Caroline!
