Alan has served as the Executive Director and Cantorial Soloist at Temple Israel in Dayton, Ohio; Executive Director of Westchester Reform Temple in Scarsdale, NY; and Vice President, Community Engagement for the Jewish Reconstructionist Communities. He also spent a number of years in the corporate sector as a consultant in business development and strategic planning.  He is a graduate of Yale University and holds a Master's degree from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.  Alan and his wife, Julie, first met as children at their synagogue in Tulsa, Ok; their two sons are Josh, 23, and Zack, 20.
